ok my mom was talking to this woman who runs at this little resort type thing on a lake near my house. anyways i guess they get quite a few americans who stay there for a week during the summer & the same people normally come up year after year. anyways this year they recived a letter from some american saying to cancle his reservations because he was no longer going to come because Canada dint help in iraq. how could anyone be so stupid? its not like the people that work there chose if canada would help out or not. anyways im sure some nice person will get their reservations now, its very hard to get in there so if he changes his mind he wont be comin back till next year. hake:

The man will have to spend his next holidays in either the US, the UK or Australia. The rest of the world didn't help in Iraq.

If it really is a nice place, then for him ten others. If he thinks he can make a statement acting like this, he is being ignorant. No one cares about one little naïve, short-sighted guy. Let's hope not all people think and act like this.

The only statement he is really making is confirming the stereotype image that Americans have in some countries: We good, you bad; We right, you wrong.

Yeah, its pretty stupid. Not much different than the french attacking Mcdonalds (before surrendering) or the germans boycotting coke. But it is his choice to make. The resort might be better off without him.

You can say the same thing about Europeans who will not buy Coca-Cola or McDonalds to protest America's war with Iraq. Americans who will not take their clothing to French cleaners(HA!). Renaming foods. People protest in their own ways, albeit silly at times, but not to the indiviual(s) in question. This is the way they express their views. Take it as a grain of salt.

It's hot up here, dude.

Ottawa is hot and humid in the Summer. 30C+ (that's around 80-90F for you non-celsius types)

We had a two week stretch last summer where it was over 40C with the humidity. That sucked.
