I should think that an MG with a real life range of 800 yards missing the enemy at 100 yards is more of a joke (while a shotgun is good to 100 yards, or about twice it's range)

Yah and id also think that mg's with the accuracey of sniper rifles is more of a joke. While were on the subject id say that taking ages over loading 5 rounds into a sniper rifle or a shotgun is also a joke.
