Nothing beats Notepad, in my opinion.

However, HTML-b00ns can bank on the fact that web editors are a dime a dozen. Just do a search on Google for 'em.

I remember a co-op student I worked with one time using Homesite. He seemed to like it...even though his sites looked like shite.

Notepad, Internet Explorer, and a good tutorial site is all you need.

i mean like macromedia...frontpage and so on...i need something easy...to where even the slowest person could understand...i don't wanna pay

Dreamweaver was good for me when I was learning. You have to pay for it though.

muahahah.. not quite... try dl it from kazaa. Dreamweaver is the only one i have ever used and its pretty good.

For a starter, try Microsoft Frontpage. Then as you learn HTML code, try Macromedia Dreamweaver.
