Default Model request: Tactical armour - 05-07-2003, 08:19 PM

I know im only new around here (kinda) but i was wondering if someone would mind making an armour model based on the Aliens style colonel marine. Below is a pic of a replica.

I've also been looking around trying to find the Counter strike M-41a pulse rifle weapon model.

Wanted to try my hand @ importing it, was wondering if there are any tutorials that may take me through it?

Ok, i grabed milkshape, and scorpio's MOH plugin.
I exported the M41a model.
I have my
m41a.skb
m41a.skc
m41a.tiki
When exporting from milkshape using Scorpios plug in it mentions loading the model in MOHradiant?. I've got it loaded, but dont know what to do now.
HA! now what?

so now you have to use a 3d program and atach all the gun parts to the bones on the MOH human!

I dont know the first thing about bones, so i just loaded the model into mohaa straight away

HAHA!
Textures dont seem to be working, and the gun is held weird. Obviously because it has no bones at all (not acording to milkshape anyway)

theres no way in hell you can get a workin gun in moh with just milkshape....because you need to assign bones...and milkshape just cant export them....thats why you need Lightray angel:

Hrmn.
Lightray will only import SKD, and Milkshape will only export SKB.

Afaik you take the MDL file of the Pulse rifle, import it to Lightray and export it as an MoH model. But you must register the Lightray in order to do that.

what are you talking about you sire can export skd if you know how...........

all you really need milkshape for is to decompile the MDL files then its LR all the way with the right plugins

What do you mean? I see the model in L3D with the textures in it, but can't export, because it's the unregistered version. Or do you mean messing around with the bones and the tik files?
