Florida's Wildlife Control, ownz the road? -
05-16-2003, 02:20 AM
I'm driving home today, on a back road, when all sudden I see FWC (Florida Wildlife Control). The guy's doing like 32 in a 35, so I switch lanes. Now I admit I was driving on his ass for a minute, but then I switched lanes. I'm about even with him when all sudden, my side mirror is about even to the front of his car. I guess he got pissed or somtin but then he hits the sirens. I'm like "What the fuck? He's FWC." I pull over on the side thinking, he'll probally pass me or some shit because there's no way a FWC officer can give me a ticket? Get's out of his car asking to see my license n registration. I'm still in shock n awe at this! The cop was a total asshole. I mean it was like he had nothing better to do. Just BS'n me about I was doing 40 next to him and he was doing only 32. I knew there was no way I was getting a ticket do to the fact that he had no speedometer and no way of telling if I was speeding.
My big disbelief is that; when did glorified park rangers, all sudden become traffic cops? Any thoughts here? This happen to anyone else?

The FWC Officer would have taken Butters out with a tranqillizer dart before he could make a move,
and been perfectly within his rights...hey, fella...listen up, you're the one who broke the law
and it's his job to take you down.
Animal Kingdom or Human...erm, Kingdom...it matters not, to the FWC! fire1:

Possum sheriffs are full law enforcement officers. He could have written you any ticket he liked or cuffed you and dragged you off to the pokey if he felt the need. While traffic duty is not his primary job, he was not outside of his authority. It s also the most dangerous branch of law enforcement. They typically work alone, in the middle of no where and everyone they approach is armed. They dont normally put up with very much. You probably pissed him off by tailgating him.

Seriously, I would ask to see his badge, and take down his routing number. I would report his ass, and if he asked why, I'd say "you're either doing one of two things wrong here. One, you are doing a task outside of your jurisiction, by giving me a ticket for 5MPH over the limit, or two, you are a local police unit imposing as another state comission unit, (which in the state of NY) is illeagal."
Then I'd smile, and drive away. I don't put up with shit like that. I'd spit in his face, seriously. A lady cop gave me a ticket last week at the Gateway National park. I parked in the Marina (Where you put your boat into the water from a ramp) to help my friend move his boat. A cop was there, so I asked if I can help move his boat it will only take a minute. The cop in the car said sure, but hurry up. So, I helped him, come back to the car, and see a ticket from the female cop. The car was gone.
Now, remember this are park police, and they're federal, not state. I find them, and beep my horn, and they pull over. They both get out of the car, and so do I. I show her the ticket, and I said "What the hell is this?" She goes "It's a ticket, wiseass." That got me off. I said "Yeah, well maybe if you had something better to do at 10AM on a Saturday, you would of asked your partner why I was parked there for only 2 minutes." She looked at the guy and he said "He asked me if he could move his friends boat and I said OK" She looked back at me with this real pissed look. I took the ticket, tore it in half, gave it back to her and said "Have a nice day. . .oh, and your park sucks."
I got my ass out of there before they called the real cops, lol

That would've been funny if you got sent to the humane society or whereever they take animals. Your cell mate would've been an emu or something.

What was really embarrsing was when he asked me if I had gotten a ticket before, and I had one right next to me. I got a ticket a few weeks before, but that was for definite speeding and I admit to that. I was just still REALLY pissed off at this.
