I skydived once, but I did a tandem jump. If you are doing five hours of ground school, you are probably going to do a solo? Its a hell of a rush. I wasnt nervous at all until they opened the door at 12k feet. Then I got nervous all at once, but I didnt have very long to think about it. The free fall was the best part, but its over in a blink. The parachute ride down gives you a chance to catch your breath.

I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Holy crap!!!!!!!!! What an experience!!!! I don't care what all of the others say about skydiving, whether it being a mediocre experience or what, but WOW!!!!! I recommend that all of you guys here do it!
We had a jump school on the ground which lasted about 4 hours - we had a break in the middle for lunch. After writing a little quiz on what we learned (i got 29 out of 31), we geared up.
We go to choose our own jumpsuits from a variety, and lucky for me, i found a German paratrooper jumpsuit among the suits! It was a camo suit, with the german striped flag on the shoulder with a ton of zipper pockets. I tell u, i felt like a paratrooper. The actual jump was amazing. The scariest part was standing underneath the wing exposed to all that wind..... when i let go, my adrenaline skyrocketed, then my chute deployed after like 3 seconds, and i drifted peacefully to the ground while YELLING AND SCREAMING in elation! YAAAAAA!!!! IT WAS AWESOME!
Now i got to wait til thursday to obtain a copy of the video of our jump.
