My M42 Jump Jacket -
05-17-2003, 10:12 AM
It's not the best, but I tried... What do you think?

I need to learn how to model so I can make one that looks closer. I basically added the pockets on the jacket which were on the arms, and lightened the color a little, made the straps go through the pockets and sharpened them a little.

Here's a darker version from my player skin called allied_walker.

And this is the jacket from an 82nd Airborne Pack that I changed.

I see your pocket flaps all point the same way. I don't know if you use photoshop or paintshop pro, but you can copy the pocket an then flip it horizontally. You can also change the dimension of the copied bits.
My main tools are marque, rubber stamp and transform. I'm just too picky on my skins to release them, because I always find some new things to do.
Working on your counterparts btw: Fallschirmjager.
But 'nuff about me, this is your topic. So: nice work starting out and don't be afraid to experiment with new settings. Ow, use lots of layers for everything! That way you can edit them so extremely easy.

There lies the problem... I can work with the textures good but I dont know how to script them or add models... I messed it up when I tried and nothing showed up in-game.

heres an in-game shot of my player skin... allied_walker using the darker 101st coat but its not that good because i had no one to pose... its someone that was pinged out. you cant even really see the pockets on the jacket or the thomson bag.
