Default High Ping @ Bridge/Crossroads? - 05-18-2003, 06:31 PM

I have a very powerful PC, you can see yourself by clicking the link in my sig, but whenever I go to the Bridge/Crossroads, my ping shoots from 47 to just over 100.

No other map, just Bridge/Crossroads, V2 is the map I get the best ping at, and on The Bridge, my FPS stays from 80-100, but my ping suffers.

Does anyone know why?

I guess it would have to be with the size of the map, and how open it is, as opposed to V2 and The Hunt, their smaller and less open

If you ping goes up, it has nothing to do with your system specs. It has something to do with your Internet connection.

yea man, try finding better servers with like 100 and lower pings and see how it works then. Nice specs btw, VERY NICE SPECS. If u dont mind me asking, how much did all of that cost?

Like was said the bridge is a very open map, which results in a huge pvs and therefore an above average network load.

I see, the servers I go into have 63-80 ms as the ping, but once I'm in and in combat, it shoots up.
