It's not that Windows is superior to Linux, but Linux is a more stable OS for running net-code applications, such as gaming servers. The problem is that EA didn't develope a Linux dedicated server, only Win32. So, most applications aren't compatible. I know theres a program that allows you to run PC applications on a Linux box, you might want to look into that.
