Hi all, basically I am very interested in developing a mohaa video for my clan. Ive seen many CS, DAOC etc. videos and want to make a mohaa one. BUT i have no idea what program(s) to use. Any help would really be appreciated and hopefully this will be the first post of many.

You can use fraps to capture screenshots which can be compiled into an avi or mpeg file (http://www.fraps.com). To edit the video you can use mgi videowave 5 or adobe premiere.

Fraps sucks, use VDub, you need capture .dll files, but once you have those it produces 0 lag.

But with Fraps, you have to turn off all of the eye candy and set your resolution to 800x600, and if you play 800x600 standard, then you have to go 480xXXX.

And not everyone has $800.00 to buy Adobe Premiere, which is why VDub is useful, it serves all of those purposes, in a smaller file.

Not to mention that Fraps captures each frame in tga format, at an average of 40 fps, thats a buttload of frames, which means a huge size.

A 1 minute 30 second video is 2 GB, even after compressing it with DivX Pro Codec, it was still 90 MB.

So I recommend VDub, and you can get the capture drivers anywhere, just browse around.

*cough Kazaa cough*

Default Where? - 06-10-2003, 08:40 PM

Ya I'm making a flash movie for our clan and I incoperated a video capture of the game... Take a look at it at my personal site http://www.al-keilani.net (note that the flash is not done yet)

Ya I would like to get more video captures but fraps really sucks for the reason sited in the previous posts!!

My question is: You mentioned Vdub. What is that? Where can I get it from? Just serach for Vdub? Please advise.
