Wow, it´s cool you´ve got a mauser rifle. I have used the mauser rifle on a military shooting range a couple of times and it´s a nice weapon. The one I used was a swedish version manufactured by Husqvarna and was a model 1898 (6.5mm cal). It was darn old but working like a clock. The swedish army had tons of these weapons in old storages until they sold them a couple years ago.

To bad I didn´t get the chance to buy one. They where sold for about 400-500 swedish kronor (40-50 us dollars) a piece. Some of my friends bought one or more and then customized them with new stocks/buttstocks in polymer/platics and scopes. They now use them for hunting and they all think it was a bargin to buy such a good weapon for that little money.

But, I´ve got a AK4 (swedish version of the famous german H&K G3) instead fitted with a sniperscope and that´s a hell of a weapon..

My brother has a 1944 Luftwaffe KAR 98K. If you plan on firing it, get stripper clips.

LOL, yeah we are the only ones to get our asses kicked by the Turks, oh and of course the New Zealanders share our shame too. The funny thing is, Gallipoli is the most celebrated battle in Australian history. Go figure

Kick ass guys. I They had an M1 Garand there too! I think the wood painted over (bleh) but shit man, the beauty worked like a charm, at least when I worked the action. Didnt get to fire it, but shit man, I felt honored to hold that weapon!
