Speaking of "Toys", today I saw on the news some kids were shootng ducks or something with a pellet gun and someone called the cops and SWAT showed up decked out in full gear and handcuffed em and everything. Kind of funny. I don't think their going to be charged or anything though. But the problem with airsoft guns and stuff is that you can't really tell them apart from real guns. I mean if I walked around with one of those plastic guns you can buy for 5 bucks, I'm sure i'd have the police all over me. And if I were to point it at a cop, i'd be dead. So i'm sure thats part of the reason for legislation.

That's why they should be given to Intelligent people, not people who'd use them to shoot at ducks, which of course, would not even have enough FPS to even kill the thing....depending on how close, and it's hard to get close to a duck.

It's also nice to play on a close course of sorts, like where Paintball would be played. I know plenty of Police Officers that play Paintball and Airsoft. They're at the course I play at all the time.

Just be smart enough to not, like I said, " walk down the streets of St Paul with a G3A3 slung around your back."

Yeah, remember reading about some guy that was shot to death by police because he pointed a spray-painted water gun, shaped like a real gun, at them. When you're a cop, and you see someone pull out what looks like a gun and point it at you or someone else, you don't have time to try and figure out whether or not it is a gun, you just have to react, and it might be a gun, or it might be a cell phone or something like that. There's nothing you can do, you have to shoot the person, because, yes it could be a cell phone or something harmless, but if you don't take action, and it is a real gun, you, another officer, or a bystander could be killed.

Anyway....

Does anyone know what gear is issued to Delta Force members?

I'm sure most their gear is just standard things, since they're a pretty elite organization and try to seem apart from the US Military.

For example, they can use any firearm they want of course. I've seen pictures of Delta Operators sporting M14's. I'm sure they don't have a " strict " list of things that they're issued. But I'd pressume pretty standard US Army Gear. Also, depending on where they are fighting, or what they're up against, the gear loadout would change.

But off the top of my head, I'd say anything that any US Spec Ops force would use.

Yeah, I've seen pics of them using standard web gear with Blackhawk Spec Ops braces instead of the standard Y-suspenders, but those pics were a little old, so I wasn't sure if they still use it. I might look at just a set of standard woodland BDU's, a replica SEAL 2000 protective vest, a replica of Blackhawk's Molle R.A.C.K chest rig, a SOCOM style tactical holster, black tac boots, black elbow and knee pads, and a half-cut pro tec helmet (like the ones in BHD) as a delta style kit. In the end I'll probably end up with a SWAT type kit, as it's much cheaper than both a Navy SEAL and a Delta style kit.

SFOD-D or any Special Forces/Special Ops unit don't have any one particular set of gear that they were. Being Special Operations, they tend to have a pretty large range of gear and accessories to choose from. As said, Blackhawk rigs are used by many, and becoming pretty popular. Alot of the Spec Ops guys in the Gulf were wearing MICH Helmets, they look like smaller version of the normal PASGT helmet, and have been intergrated with the use of communications gear. Knee pads are a personal choice, gloves are a personal choice. All you would have to do is go to SPECWARGEAR.COM[/url:f35f3] click on the gear and equipment link and you have a pretty fair range of the equipment used.

Yeah, for airsoft, but for the vest and chest rig, I'll be buying Guarder (http://www.intrudershop.com.tw) replicas instead of the real thing, they're much cheaper. Also, I'll be getting a full face paintball mask instead of just goggles. And I already have a pro-tec style helmet and half finger gloves. It'll take me a long time to get this kit togeather, possibly even years, seeing as I want to completly customize the M4 (when I get it that is).

With some of that stuff on, you might not even feel an airsoft BB hit you.

I just did some price checking, the replica seal vest is over $120 Canadian, and the replica RACK rig is over $250 Canadian. Far too expensive, think I'll have to come up with a new kit, but all the tac vests are too expensive. oOo: It would be cheaper to make my own vest!
