I agree.

If I see one of the players on a server with a ping of 0 I'll leave it alone. There have been very few exceptions I've seen where playing AND hosting on the same PC didn't produce lag.

Don't forget, a ping of 0-10 can indicate a seperate computer networked with the dedicated server, in which case you will experience no additional lag.

argh, i am about to give up on multiplayer moh, i can join a game with about 200 ping (on a 56k, that's a good ping) and it'll still lag bad, and even shoots up to 999 ping, i seen other people have the same thing happen.

That happens when everyone is running "personal" servers instead of "dedicated". Wait until the retail then reassess your view of the MOHAA MP.
