Sorry if this is old or been discussed before, but whatever. I decicded to go back and play MOH Frontline (I know, freaky eh?) and I played through all the maps until i got to the Market Garden mission. And then i though, 'wait a minute, he was on Omaha Beach. How was he in the Infantry Division and then sent to the paratroopers?" How? You are never sent up to the paratroopers from the Infantry, you are sent down to the Infantry from the Airborne, so how the hell is Jakc Barnes in the Infantry on D-Day and in the Airborne on Market Garden?

SO the OSS sent a fine operative to the deathtrap known as Omaha Beach? I dont think the OSS would ever send their agents on the first wave of an invasion

Jimmy Patterson, not Jack Barnes.
He's in the OSS, and they wanted his experience on the beach I assume, and his operational skills in Market Garden to take out the AA gun on the bridge so Air cover could commence.
