Ok, so i can udnerstand why you dont like us.... we lag!
but
We also want to get our money's worth for the MULTIPLAYER section of mohaa, not just single player.
I am fed up of having abuse online about my 56k
Sort it out!

You lag the server, making the gaming eperience worse for everyone else. You teleport around so much that you are impossible to kill.

It's the myth that someone connecting to a sturdy 10mbit+ server with a slow data rate will somehow cause the whole server to fail and stutter to a standstill.
The rest are noobs who don't realise that they can't run a server with more than 2 other people on a cable line...
There are some 56k only servers out there, though. You just have to look for them.

one 56ker can ruin the game for everyone else in the room. at one point in time we were all 56kers.

Yes, these are all valid point's..
I mean, about a month ago i would connect to MOHAA at 999 ping...
but now, i think more people have left playing MOHAA or something because i connect at sturdy 200ping which is still high!
HOPEFULLY!
Tomorrow which is saturday, im getting broadband and i will always not curse at 56kers, because i know the feeling..
Thnx everyone for replying!

solution, go to a low ping server and those 56ker's wont affect it...
dont know why peopel bitch about 56k so much, they dont do much damage, only to themselves, i like 56kers cuz its harder for them to play givin us non 56kers an advantage biggrin:

i know high speed isent available in some areas but when their is i say. dont be a chintz & fork over the extra 20$ a month for high speed. if your not willing to do that then you should not be playing online.

As Ydiss has correctly stated 56kers do not and will never "slow down" a game for anyone on a faster connection. Any slow down you may get is either because more people are using the net or your ISP. The only bad effects a 56k will cause is "stuttering", but more often than not it is to their disadvantage not anyone elses.

All I have known is 56K. the only place in my area w/ high speed is downtown. I can't wait until I finish training and move to Bragg, I will finally have a good connection.
I don't know if this applies to anyone else with laggy dial-up, but I find that playing multiplayer with 56K, (even with a decent ping, there is always lag) helps quicken reflexes and I seem to play better. Once I get high speed, I will own all! probably not, but oh well...

When you do upgrade it'll make a huge difference. Massive difference.
Just make sure you also have a fast PC otherwise MOH will still be laggy due to graphics performance (which is worse than lag because it not only slows your display rate down but also your own mouse movements - I'd rather have 150 ping with 100 FPS than 10 ping and 15 FPS).
As for 56kers being hard to hit.. yeh they can be but believe me it's just as hard for them to hit you. They may be teleporting or jerking all over but to them everybody is doing that.
As for 56kers not deserving to play online - That's fucking crap.
I'm more inclined to believe that people who only run crappy listen servers on their p3 and cable line are the ones who don't deserve to play online.
I sometimes like to try joining a server where the host has 0 ping just for a challenge but more often than not the server will start to ping out after 3 - 4 players have joined and it just craps out.
That's not a 56ker causing that and it never will be.
A server does not wait for messages to go to and from itself to the clients it carries on sending and receiving packets as fast as it can.
When a 56k client connects and lags out then it will simply stop receiving and sending data to that client. That's it.
It doesn't go: "Oh, hold on he's slow so I'd best wait longer and stop sending packets to other clients until he leaves".
A server craps out because of the server - Nothing else. Ever.
Get it into your head, repeat it 100 times and write it on your bloody eyelids.
