If I were of age during America's involvement of WWII I would go and sign up. I know there is a topic some what like this about a war in 2008 but lets stick to what this game is about. I would fight for America and do my best to have the allies come through victorious. If I could have choosen I would have beein in the army as a some what low ranking officer leading a group of infentry on the push through France. My weapon of choice would either be the Tompson or the M1 Grand. Either that or I would like to have been incharge of a anti tank group in the same area. What about you guys.

Would you have joined the war for your county? What country would you be fighitng for (please let it be your home country and don't pick another)? What type of soldier would you be (officer etc)? What weapon of choice would you pick? Which front would you take part in (or allies through North Africa, France, Italy or on the western front/ for axis etc)?

i would be the very first in line in the very first Higgins that landed first on Omaha beach.. then i would kick some ass..

Well.. i dunno if i would Volunteer, but u must understand if was a different time back then, ppl were brainwashed to think that war is glorius and all that junk.. If u look up propaganda during ww2 on yahoo u would see some crazy stuff.. I mean some propaganda shows guys dead and it says "HE MADE THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE".. if i saw that i would be kinda.. scared.. Anyway if i HAD to go i would like to be an MP in the states

hmmmm, thats a good question! Well if I had to go, I would go for the U.S (homeland) I would have liked to be present on 6.6.44, so I would better appreciate life (if i lived through and after the war) I would rather of been some nameless Pvt-or PFC in a small unit(I wouldnt wanna be an officer because that draws attention to yourself in some ways, especially from the enemy ) I would like to carry the trusty `ol M1 (and maybe a 1911a1 if i could get my dirty hands on it

Oops I meant Garand not Grand. Anyway yeah I see your point about drawing attention to yourself. An enemy sniper would pick you off first before all others, but I would still take that risk. Anyway I love looking at the propoganda in WWII. Btw I think it went more like this, at least the one I saw did. "You talk of sacrifice! He knew the true meaning of sacrifice!" (allied soldier lying dead on barbwire) But that could have been from WWI.

Well Australia ofcourse. I would have choosen to join either M or Z Special Unit. M Special Unit was the North East Regional Section operating in New Guinea and the Solomons. Z Special Unit was the Services Recon Department operating in Borneo and the Netherlands East Indies. These guys started Special Operations in Australia and were the for runners for our Special Air Service Regiment and Commando Battalion. Or I would have chosen to join the Australian Infantry Battalion (AIB) and fight the good fight in the desert of Africa against Rommel. But if I would have been and American, either the Rangers or the 101st Airborne Division. I would have chosen the M1 Carbine, Thompson SMG, Sten Gun or the Good 'Ole .303 And I would have been a PVT or a CPL

Um, Australia, Fighting in Nth Africa (alongside my great-grandfather, who was buried alive in a foxhole when a nazi tank roled over him, he survived) and I'd have the trusty BREN or OWEN guns...Ah, now for sleep...
