yes i know that, i need prices and comparison of performance, nothing much but just a rough figure, how would only a geforce 3 ti 200 boost my performance because right now im running on the shittyest settings and it still runs like crap.

I notice that their is a huge drop-off in fps from 800x600 to 1024x768, im not looking for great graphics and res, looking for decent graphics with great fps.
(800x600 on medium settings would greatly satisfy me.)

I should add that as of now i never ever run above 640x480 and low settings. My fps is playable but i think i should be getting better.
Does anyone know where i can get a cheap mobo CPU combo, lets say just a 1.2 P4 or AMD for about 150-200 bucks?

I'm running a Pentium III with a 600 MHZ processor and 640MB of RAM and it's working fine for me. I have an ATI 32MB Radeon card as well.

great movie - Airplane

as far as your specs, I run a p3700 with a Radeon 8500 with no problems whatsoever. My game runs as smooth as any game I own.

My buddy Eviscero runs a p3550 with a geforce 2MX 400 and he has no problems either.

Upgrading from a Geforce 2 MX to a Geforce 3 Ti-200 increased my 3dMark 2001 scores from 3259 to 7100.
You wouldn't get that high because of your processor, but should be able to drive over 3000 with a Ti-200, which should drive MOHAA at a reasonable resolution, with most of the eyecandy turned on, at about an avg 30 to 33 FPS.
If your worried about money look at the ATI 8500. Similar performance to the Ti-500, but $100 cheaper. The problem is with an 8500 or a Ti-500, your CPU will become your bottleneck and you may not have the horse power to pust the full capabilities of the card.

Specialchild.
updating your vid card at this point will help alittle. But if your looking for great improvement from 15-30 in SP you will probably have to up your processor. The new vid card will help alot as far as looks go but like peeps have been saying processor speed is king!We are slowly being flushed out of the market!
That being said you can probably run it pretty good at 800x600 with the new vid card.
But if your looking to turn up the graphics to 1024x768 you will still probably get stutters when you don't want them!
I hope we helped you out and gave you some hints as what to do.
My next step is a new mobo and update to a G-force3 but by the time I get to that it'' probably be out of date by that time again ;

I got an old P3 600 with 320 ram, right now i got a geforce 2 mx400 and it runs pretty shitty...
If i upgraded to a geforce3 ti200 how would that comp run?

Geforce 3 ti200's are about 150 bucks right?
The ti 500's are what are really expensive right?

You need a faster processor, at least 700 MHZ then you'll be set to go

You can probably play the game with some of the texture and such turned down a notch or 2 !I have the same system and the game runs pretty smooth.Having the G-force3 will help alot.
Try it out and if it doesn't go the way you want you can always return it.
