Cheating can't be fixed.

i Can't Belive this,.. u guys make a game with cheats.. but u forget to be able to stop them and Forget that ppl are able to hack them..
al the other games ( exept CheaterStrike )

Um. All they need to do is remove the commands they left in the game. Then it won't be as insanely easy to cheat.

I never understood the point of cheating commands in the first place? The game should be played the way it was meant to be played.

Cheat codes should be only part of the development of the game and see how everything is working out and reacting in the game.

I think its just plain stupid to have it in the retail games.

I think what he meant was that cheating in general cannot be fixed. Which is true. This current problem with people using the single player cheats can be fixed, but eventually someone will find another way to cheat. Either with an aimbot or some other way. All online games have cheaters unfortunately.

The 1.1 patch eliminates God mode from multiplayer, so that problem's solved.. although in a perfect world, all types of cheating would have been removed.

*sigh* They should've added the gore, made the gameplay a little deeper (which makes it a bit harder for the CS kiddies and idiots to understand), and made the game rating higher, maybe Mature or something. Then there wouldn't be so many immature kids using cheats and hacks.

Then again, any first-person shooter is bound to have cheaters and hacking bastards (except maybe Operation Flashpoint).

Oh, well. I guess there's always the LAN, where I can beat the shit out of any cheaters I see.

Yeah but some are easier then others. Q3a or Q3a mods can run servers in sv_pure mode which means both the client and the server have to have the same .pk3 files if they don't the player is kicked. I've played a bunch of Q3a mods and there's really no cheating. The bottom line is there are ways to make cheating difficult. With CS its easy. Of course CS sucks so who cares.
