can someone inform me if there were actually allies sniping the germans on omaha beach on that day? or wasn't the action too intense to get a good shot from that far away?

i think the omaha map in multiplayer would be way funner for BOTH sides if the germans actually got to use the mg42s without getting sniped the first second they get on them, itd be much funner to use the garand to try and kill them anyway wouldnt it? it just wouldnt be a walk in the park. the allies would HAVE to rush.

the ally snipers get mowed down when they do make it in the bunkers anyway. they're only good on the beach. bah, itd just be nice if this map could be played the way it was supposed to be played. itd be a rush

in SPR there were snipers on the omaha beach if you seen it. but in the game its impossible for the Axis to use the guns in the bunkers because then they will they die..

it is crap, the beach part should be the best part, but the beach is bypassed by ally snipers. LAME

Try not to think in terms of offense and defense.

I was on the axis side and I simply went down and killed some snipers.

In reality, the people on the beach could not even see the people in the bunkers. There wasn't much you could do unless you moved up the beach. If snipers were like they are in MOHAA on Omaha Beach, there would have been no problem taking out the machine gunners in the bunkers. Even veterans said there was no use firing at the bunkers because they could not hit anything while on the beach. There has to be some kind of spawn limits.

Agreed....Simply remove the allied snipers (or at least regulate how many) and the map would improve greatly. The axis would actually be able to use the mg 42's or the other defences at the top of the bluffs. I think that would probably even make it signifigantly more difficult for the allies to just blow the razor wire, let alone make it across the beach.

I think that where the bunker slots are where the mg 42s are placed to make that area a shadow so no snipers could see them, but see there fire from the guns therefor they would have to guess where to shoot. Or they could make the map hella foggy so no sniping is posable at all until u get close to the bunkers but its too late then when you getting fired at......

it doesnt even matter. if the allies snipe they lose the map plain and simple. i saw it happen many times tonight on my server. i kept yellin at people to stop snipin and get up the beach.

"sniping is fun blah blah"

as we lose round after round.

maybe a 1 way invisible barrier? maybe add an invisible shield that allows the gun to traverse but still allows the gunner to be protected?

that map is extremely cool. i havent gotten to play it on any large servers yet though.

I been trying to use the MG42 all the time and nothing else when Ive been playing.

And this is what happend, I ve played for several hours and the longest time I been on the MG42 before the snipers got me is 9 sec.
Average time is 3 sec.
On a 24 player map.

So I think you should leave the sniper rifel and try finsh the objective instaed.

Whiners all around, but I see no one with real skill. Don't get me wrong, I'm not the best player in the world either, but I don't come in here a cry about some bad experience I had with the snipers last night. Adapt guys!!!! Use your brains and outsmart them!!!! It's just a thought. Tactics are the name of the game in this one. You just have to choose your tactics accordingly. It's a team game and you must work together. Do you think the military then and even now, goes up to the enemy commander and asks what weapons they are using and says, "Nah, you can't use that sniper rifle while we are attacking, it would kill off way too many of us,", I don't think so. There are no rules in warefare and therefore I think they did a great job on this game. You guys can go cry some more if you'd like, but I'm gonna go take out some more allies!!!

guess ull have to use godmode too. that sounds like a good time. but hey like you said, theres no rules.. so do whatever it takes to win..

in the same way the developers accidently let cheats in multiplayer, they unbalanced the omaha map and its being played not the way it was intended. a group of us on the forum want this game to be a FUN EXPERIENCE.

some of you just dont get it. its not about adapting, ANY of us can adapt. if everyone was like you, then the godmode issue wouldn't be addressed, and people would just find a strategy, or heck even another cheat to counter act it.

How many people are you playing the map with? The more people, the more intense, and less likely for a sniper to be affective.
