If I were you, I'd go second hand - Those things can end up pretty expensive.

.....But then again, in the long run, you probably save all that money by not needing as much batteries as say, a Discman. No moving parts on an Mp3 Player. freak:

Dear god in heaven what is the appeal of MP3 players? CD's are what - 10cents each, and if you dont have a Cd-player then youre probably on the low end of Dirty-Ghetto-Stank-Poor.

The cheap bastard in me cant justify an expense like that, especially if it puts money in a pretentious self-assure, referential bastard like Steve Jobs.

Hundred dollar laziness? Yanno I actually convinced myself to buy an 80 dollar remote. To change two devices w/o getting up. Just think about that for a minute.

MP3 players are the way, Ill never go back. My MP3 player only has 128 mb memory and I can easily get over 2 hours of music on it, its 1/4 the size of a discman and makes zero operating noise.

128 mb of memory is pretty expensive for mp3.

I had a Nomad II and it was awsome, it was nice and small, kinda like a cell phone and it was really good.

I bought a Yepp' YP-300 64MB MP player for $100 and then a 128MB SmartMedia card for $56.
