ok so im about to purchase another new laptop, and i dont want to get the same mistake i done last time with getting a crap cpu that wouldnt handle mohaa. So the laptop im looking at is a sony vaio, im just wondering weather its '128mb ATI radeon IGP345m UMA' grapics card will be good enough to play mohaa on without any difficulties. I have knowledge about any of the ati cards, which are the best and which are crap, so please can someone inform me weather i would gte the performance from this needed to run mohaa.

I just went and looked at those and didn't see one with an ATI 128mb graphics on it but SONY may not have updated thier site. Make sure it has a Pentium 4 or a Athalon processor as I don't know if a Zeron will do the job.

Just remember, a laptop is only as good as its current hardware. There is no room for upgrades. some newer laptops are upgrade able but with limited capabilities
whoever , if your looking to play games like MOH on it. I would highly recommend alianware
good luck

Alienware makes laptops? I never heard of it. But for laptops I'm sure u can run mohaa on a 128mb ati with a p4. I used to be able to play mohaa with a 700mhz machine with 32mb geforce mx, with all the settings low ofcourse. But why buy a laptop to play games? Desktops are so much better for games.

Prepare to shell out some serious dough for any of those systems.

Oh and to answer your question, yes that rig will definitely be enough for MOHAA, actually it will be enough for pretty much any game. What's the price range for that Vaio? I estimate it's probably like $1600

that particular vaio is £999.99, which is around $1,570 so lets round it off to 1,600 and your correct!

I know both ati and Nvidia have new modile GPUs make sure your new purchase has one of them and you should be all set.
Also let us know how you make out and how MOH or other games play on your new purchase. It may help others make the same desicsion

ok then, should be getting it 2moro.
also found out that the igp in 'IGP345....' means that it shares the ram with the...erm ram. so basically i wont have 512mb of ram, ill have 384 because the video card will use 128 of the total ram....if that makes any sense.
so ill check this all out when i bring the bitch home and test it out.

Good luck then, I have a server that didn't run right with a shared memory video. After I installed an older MX-400 Nvidia card it workd great as a server and ok as a player. See if they will let you test the game before you buy.

Or for Rude's sake, I'd recommend Alienware. biggrin:
Expensive, but defineatly one of the best laptops for gaming. Dell would be my second choice.
