As far as the tutorials go, more what I meant was people begging for links to tutorials here, not necessarily people using them. I do think that a tutorial should be the last resort, after you have exhausted all ideas you have, but your right. Maybe I was a bit over the edge on that and I apologize for it.

I agree with you too Balr14, what I was stating was more or less that this forums is not about requests. If someone has a request they should pm or email a modder they think is capable of it. I know everyone isnt capable of modding the game, but they also shouldnt spam these boards, which are here for us modders to help our work improve, with nonsense demands. I'm just sick of the way things have turned out here is all.

this game is way too easy to mod for people to be begging for people to make stuff, but you forget the art content. I myself could make skins easily, but i suck at and hate image editing.....

and dont think that modelling or skinning makes you that much better than everyone anyhow

when i (simo hayha) registered in december this place was decent at the time. then it all came crashing down when guarnere released his models and all the b00ns came flooding in, and flaming others so and so. then the nazi mods arrived and shit on this forum even more. When i went into power my main objective was to bring this place back to its granduer from long ago. and bring along catagories such as Map of the week and Skin of the week. it was fun while it lasted but badscript has banned me. oh well!

Ok mohaa is the 1st game i modded for and that was skinning. I did this by searching the net for "mohaa modding nd editing". Which as well as other places led me here. I admit i used a tutorial (as i suspect so did quite a few of us). I think deleto is right but at the same time i would say there probably wasnt many tuts out there for u to use at that time. Its only when skilled modders share their knowledge that games get recognized and the average joe takes a look. Now without tuts (except for mapping which i am totally shit at) i can resonably mod most parts of the game from maps to skins menus to sounds. I am by no means an ace modder but i enjoy creating something. I think the best solution for noobs to modding has always been look at someone elses work (NOT rip it off) and see how it goes together and practice practice PRACTICE!!!

Modding is not a quick an easy thing to learn but the enjoyment of making something and getting it in game is immense to say the least.

One of the things that does wind me up is as deleto says is the "can u make me a...." attitude either learn to do it yourself or wait till someone else makes it. Suggestions are good and maybe there should be a sticky for it.

but please dont let the flaming and total fuck nuts ruin all our modding fun

i could continue but my breakthrough demo is downloaded and u all probably fell asleep lol so come one guys lets keep it a community instead of a clique

Pas, You also proved my point. This game is quite easy to mod for, so why don't these people just try themselves instead of begging? Oh and I never said or thought I was better than anyone. My point was that I am sick of all these people spamming about a mod they want made, then crying when noone makes it.
