I HAD a rebooting problem with my
athlon 1800+
soyo dragon plus mobo
512 ddr ram
I am using the onboard sound and lan

when trying to load the v2 map in multiplayer, it would get to 75 % (estimated) and reboot my pc by itself.. no BSOD, no nothing, just reboot,,,
tried new sound drivers, new vid drivers, i tried EVERYTHING,,,
I had given up on the game, I had wanted since I got the mobo, to put my HD's on the promise ultra 100 channel, instead of the primary IDE, so I did that today... when i went back into the game and for shits and giggles tried to load the v2 map, IT WORKED!!!
i restarted the pc , just in case it was a fluke, and lo and behold I was able to load the map EVERYTIME now...
I dont know what was fixed, as I had no problems with any other game but this one, but...It just goes to show ya, anything can cause problems.
If you have a pc that has another set of ide channels besides the primary and secondary like I do, try switching the hd's to it and see what happens..
like I said, I am non-typical of the problems people are having, but this is what fixed mine...

good luck to you all, and see you on the battlefield...

just a suggestion too,,,if you know the manufacturer of the motherboard, give that too...
in case there are issues with sound cards in certain pci slots,

MYM out.....
