here in ontario its compleatly retarted. for me with a full lisence & no young driver training to insure my 4 door 1989 dodge aries shit box would cost me over $4950 a year with all the coverage set to low. its fucking rediculous! & its not as though their going broke or anything here is a quote from the article below. so much for the "we lost so much money due to 9/11" excuse for jacked prices.

[quote:e1724]n the first six months of this year, Canada's home and auto insurance companies enjoyed a $1.1-billion profit, up 338.7% from a year ago, while second-quarter earnings hit $644 million, up a staggering 486.5% from the same quarter of 2002. These numbers, by the way, come from the Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC).[/quote:e1724]

20 year old male student in the US (South Carolina).

Thanks to SC's slack-ass, redneck driving laws, our state enjoys the highest fatality ratio on the East Coast.

What does that mean? $343/mo to insure my 2003, yellow Neon SXT.

For my 01 Grand Am I'm paying $210 a month. It actually went down $40
Of course it would be higher if I told my insurrance company that I moved off base and like in town. But what they don't know won't hurt them. biggrin:

Scrotum, is insurance privatized in ontario?

In Alberta it is and were having a real problem with auto insurance. Rates just went up 30% this year. Last year they went up 15%. Its gotten out of hand.

I have a 89 Dodge Daytona. Its classified as an economy car, not a sports car. I'm 19 and had 1 ticket. The only thing I have on my insurance is P/L P/D, no collision. I pay $5000/year.

yes it is all privatized, rolleyes: stupid goverment. thank god this time around they are gonna get the boot. the liberals (who will probly get in) are promising to get the rates dropped down. when i first looked at the insurence estimate i saw $412.50 & though well hell! thats not bad! then i relized it was $412.50 a month!!. also when my parents were insuring the car 2 years ago it was about 30$ a month. they payed less insurence $ for it a year than id have to per month.
