i have seen it done where u can modify maps without users having the download a whole new map, what are the limitations to this?
and how simple is it to add boxes, barded wire, ect... can you add doors?
is there a how to? and how difficult is it? i have done some scripting before, so i may be fimilar with it. i just need a push in the right direction. my intent it to box off the window, and balcony in the southern france room, where everyone spawn kills, and to box off other spawn killing areas. our admins arnt around all the time, so regulars complain about this often. or can you change where the user's spawn?

okay, thanks! thats great info! but since u cant use tele anymore in multiplayer, how do u find locations of things? is there a console command that will tell u were you are?

can u add emeny soliders that shoot at everyone? like a single player mode solider. much like having dogs on the map? is there a limit on how much you can do? also for every mod do i have to make a new file, and have them all exectute from the server file? or can i make one large file? thanks in advance this is very good info!

As far as i know you can add bots to maps but its a tricky business.
There is a tutorial somewhere i cant remember right now tho sorry.

Try to track down jv_map. He did bots for OpCenter Multiplayer. Very good work indeed.

what about files... can u do the scripts in a single file, or does it have to be mulitple files for each addition? and... what are some other lines besides the ones included in that how-to, i saw how to make ti bullet proof or not, or is that it for spawn scripts?

For some reason my pc is labeling the .scr files as screen savers so I can't put anything into maps because the game obviously doesn't know how to load a screen saver. Is there a way to reset the file type of the .scr back to what it originally is so my computer doesn't think it's a screen saver?

For the most part, if you saw something in a single-player mission, it can be recreated in a multiplayer map.
Sometimes this gets very tricky with a server-side mod, because you have to create your own scripts (can't copy them from the stock single player map scripts).
So, to answer your question Lyme, there is a lot more you can do to the objects besides making them bulletproof. You can prtty much do anything you want.
