So your saying Steamboat Willie changed from a wehrmacht uniform to a SS uniform to kill Mellish, then back to a wehrmacht uniform to shoot Miller? Its not the same guy. You dont seem to get that Steamboat Willie was at Ramelle, as indicated by the part where he is shot by Upham, but he did NOT stab Mellish. The uniforms are the givaway.

quote:
Clever...But if you actually think about it it's not the case. Why did Upham at the end shot that specific German but let go the others? Because he saw how he stabbed Mllish and shot the other Americans without mercy, and he also regret of letting him loose when they had a chance to shoot him. Conclusion: So the message the movie's trying to tell us is 'take no prisoners, shoot or get shot at'

Upham shot Steamboat Willie because Upham saw Willie, and the other solders, taking shots at the US solders on the other side of the bridge. Then when Upham tried to take them prisioner, Willie tried to reason with Upham again to get Upham to let him go again. Upham realised that he was just going to go back and fight them as soon as he was free so Upham shot him.
Thank you Gerard for the proof. =)
