Videocard???

Still the same problem, the game crashes while starting up...

I think the problem is my videocard, because all the other possibilities (like RAM, updating drivers,...) appear not to be the cause of the problem.

What kind of videocard would you guys recommend (not too expensive)...
And what are the minimum requirements for a good card to play MOH???

(i use a PIII, 800mhz, 128mb RAM, windows 98 SE)

If you have the money I would say a g3 ti500 or radeon 8500. If your worried about money you might go with the g3 ti 200. It's going down in price. I think the g4 is coming out soon so maybe they'll start to drop quite a bit. Good luck!

Do you think a Geforce2 MX-400 64Mb is good enough to play a game like this??

(I mean if you're able to play with it, I don't need the best and fastest hi-res. features...)

i got a 600 pentium 3 and TNT2 56k modem and am able to run the game, even do pretty well multiplayer. One thing though I noticed several posts about Geoforce 2 card owners who cant get acceptable frame rates so maybe read those first.

Sure it's good enough to run the game but u prolly won't be able to crank the settings. I've heard though that the mx cards are crap. Don't take my word for it though. I personally would shell out a little more for at least a g3 ti 200 but thats just me.

Do you really think thos mx cards are crap?
Do you know a good site with reviews or something??

the g3 ti200 is just too expensive, it would cost me over 250€ (i live in europe, indeed) that's about 300 US dollar....

Don't you know a good card that's also cheap?

No I don't know for sure if they are crap, it's just what I heard. I'm sure it would be fine for what you need it for. If your not worried about freakish resolutions and cranked up settings, it should be fine. I have a friend who uses that card and he doesn't have a prob running the game. As far as other cards, I'm not sure what's good and cheap. Unfortunately, you pretty much get what you pay for. Sorry I can't help you more.

How about a Geforce 2 titanium, will the game run smooth when you use that card?

Yes, it will. Just make sure your motherboard (mobo) will accept/support the card you choose.

Well i have a geforce 2 32mb and the frame rate is really crappy. At times i can get it to 30-40 on good servers but most of the time it runs at 10-20. I dont think its my card though because i know this guy who has the same card and his runs pretty well with all the setting on max. i think i need more memory though. I cant wait till i get my new computer. Im putting in a geforce 3ti500 baby. oh yeah.

asus K7V
256 PC-133 infinion cas 2 ECC ram
14.10 hercules prophet DDR drivers

you know if you buy QUALITY hardware you get excelent driver support... thats why you pay good money in the right places!

some video cards dont work well with Detonators, mine does but it works better with my card makers drivers

great frames in a benchmark dont make for great game performance!
