You wouldn't want to mess with this guy...... -

[quote:ef5d5]A Chinese martial arts expert was in custody yesterday after turning the tables on four burglars armed with knives, killing two of them and seriously wounding a third.
The 28-year-old man, known as "the doctor" for his practice of acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine, managed to seize one of the two knives carried by his assailants and saw off the entire group with the ferocity of his reaction.
Magistrates in the central Italian town of Empoli are now seeking to establish whether his self-defence constituted an excessive use of force.
The butchery, worthy of a Quentin Tarantino film, began shortly before midnight on Friday when the four men knocked at the apartment of a Chinese hairdresser in the centre of Empoli.
The hairdresser, her assistant and "the doctor", who operated from the same premises, were reportedly overpowered and tied up before the group, all thought to be in their 20s and 30s, ransacked the apartment.
Disappointed by their meagre booty, the attackers allegedly threatened to rape the two women unless they told them where the rest of their money was hidden.
At this point the doctor managed to free himself, seize a knife from one of the aggressors and deliver a series of lethal stab wounds.
Investigators found the body of one man, who had been stabbed in the heart, sprawled on the staircase and another man bleeding to death in the street from a wound to his leg. A third man is recovering in hospital from a punctured lung.
The doctor was found crouching in the entrance to the building with cuts to his shoulder, face and hands.
Investigators are trying to determine whether he inflicted the injuries while defending himself inside the apartment, or hunted down the burglars after they had fled.

I think he should be honored, not arrested.
these kind of thugs need to learn that if they engage in such acts that they forfeit their lives! This man did what was right and hopefully every criminal thug who thinks that he's a tough guy will think twice before attempting to rob someone.

'Excessive use of force' my arse. I'm with Stryker on this one, the guy should be given some sort of Community citation for this one.

That always amazes me...a thug breaks into your house but you have to be careful not to use excessive force! On the whole "hunted down the burglars after they had fled arguement is bogus too. Just because the guys ran out of the house doesn't mean chasing them into the street isn't still self-defense. Are you supposed to let them get away so they can come back later better prepared? In my book, once you have broken into my house, you have forfeited all rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

i wouldnt kill anyone who broke into my house, only if they just threatened me or my family. if the dude is just looking for shit to steal, ill just beat his ass and hold him for the cops. i would kill him in self defense. thats why they use the term excessive force. you cant shoot someone to death if he you knock his ass out or if he falls off your roof and breaks his leg. In the scenario with the martial arts expert, he had every right to ginsu those dicks because they threatened to rape the women. fuck that, they deserved that one.

Now, if he was acting in self defense, that's one thing. But if he was screaming a warcry, and wiping their blood on his face, then yes, I see reason for investigation. Otherwise, good job on that guys part.

Beh, If you're breaking into someone's place, threatening to stab them and considering raping the women of the establishment, I'm with the Colonel on this one. He (the offender, not the Colonel) has violated your rights something chronic, and thus, his shouldn't even come into consideration anymore. I mean, it's not like this 'Doctor' gent was a menace to society while being left alone. Sounded like a decent guy, actually.

I thought that law enforcement taught its people that if you are going to shot, empty the clip. If deadly force is needed, then use it. None of this poke em in the arm once and then let them run off.
