Skin 5 of 5- SAS replacement -
10-15-2003, 04:25 PM
well im at phase 1 of the final skin for the allied stock skin replacement pack for the battle for world war II
it is a british infantryman, unfortunately, however, i have no clue what a realistic looking british infantryman looks like, so i took my best guess, and modeled it after the british soldiers from frontline

changes im already gonna make:
-darkening the straps for the m5 bag, done after i took the preview screens
-i need to fix that fuckin collar (what does a british one look like??)
-looking for more insignia, anyone who has links will be credited in the readme
cheers

alright guys, i think im done...DJHeadUp's stock skin replacement pack is done! 5 of the 6 stock skins have been modded to be replaced by more realistic, battle-weary models, i have been testing these skins for about a month, making sure that they look good in game and work well together, and i can say securely that i am very proud of what i have accomplished with these skins, this is my third week of skinning ever...

To my knowledge, he looks pretty similar to the axis_italian_202nd_Infantry from BT, except the British Helmet looks more like the Coastal btn guy's. So, i reckon if you combine the Infantry skin with the Coastal btn Helmet, and obviously with a little re-doing so it looks more English (like replacing the italian flag, or instance :P), you should come up with a pretty convincing British Infantry skin biggrin:

[url:c32d4]http://emsiandd.com/MOH/Breakthrough_Italian_Skinpak.zip[/url:c32d4] if you're interested. Hope this helps (NOTE: If you do use this, you should probably give Fletch a mention, since he ported them over).
Hope this helps beer:

well those bags on the 202nd guys waist are exactly what i need
as it turns out, the patch i put on the brits are were for the No. 4 commando's and the only historical inaccuracy was the color of his beret, which chould be green, however, i prefer the burgundy so im leaving it as is.
my question to you is- is it possible for me to take those waist bags from the BT demo and put em in to be AA compatible?
guess ill find out now...
