Default Why do I like Kill Bill? - 10-18-2003, 04:38 PM

I saw this film last night and there has been so much ruckus about it I was eager to see it. All in all this is probably the most violent movie I’ve ever seen in my entire life, the plot is so simple I could have pulled it out of my ass, and lives are regarded as much as insert cliché here.

So why do I, and most people I’ve talked to like this film so much?

Was it really that cool?

Was it innovative? Perhaps. The cinematography was cool. Nothing spectacular though. And all this martial arts stuff we've seen through various films in the past number of years. The going back and forth in the time line is nothing new, and the chapters we've seen before. The beeping out of the brides name is odd, and I’ve never really seen that. I'm curious to find out why that it. Anyway, if you really want to know the brides name, it’s on her plane ticket to Japan, so I don't really get the point to that.

The fight scenes were neato, and I found myself laughing through them since they were so unbelievably unrealistic. They seem to have the blood squirting thing down, as well as the limb thing. The killing of others was comical.

And people are calling this a masterpiece.

This all seems strange to me. It’s just pointless killing, yet I want to watch it again, and I want to watch the other half.

Help me out here.
