I think i'll just be annoyed by ads rather then pay 20 bucks. Unless you really get anything extra.

gamespam sucks! Ur better off downloading All Seeing Eye. It's free, there's no spam, and it doesn't suck up the system resource that gamespit does. Just my opinion though...

I've used Gamespy for over a year now and the ads seem to be taking longer lately before you get the ability to click that "X" to make them go away.

They say registering will get you tech support assistance right away, but I seriously have only needed help once.

I'm gonna have to not recommend registering Gamespy. You just deal with the ads the same way that you would deal with any other in-game nuance. Such as the dreaded Mohaa Developer screens.
(er, I deleted those...nevermind)

[AoD]Jobi1 is correct. Gamespy does put Spyware on your computer. What the hell is that Gator crap anyways??? I know it takes a hell of alot of work to get rid of it.

If you don't know what Spyware is, it's basically crap that hogs up bandwith and can send stuff about you to the "Ad people". Hence, why I clean my computer daily with a program called, "Ad-Aware".
It's also nice for getting rid of that nasty porn crap that can hang with you long after your gone.

This is where you can get Ad-Aware: http://www.lsfileserv.com/index.html

I'd suggest you do it with your weekly defrags.
