Trust me, I see your point. But why get your panties into a bunch over it? It's a game. And I think some people may be missing the point of the term 'Expansion Pack'. An Expansion Pack is not meant to be a whole new experience, but rather another game that EXPANDS the original game. The Publisher decided to invest money into hiring, and providing materials for, a new team that has new ideas, but wanted to release something for the community in a timely fashion. And, admitedly, to make more money for the corporation as a whole.

I honestly believe that no one person or organization is at fault for putting out a product that is so maligned within the core community. I believe the people that worked on the project honestly put their best feet forward and tried to make the best Expansion Pack they could, given the materials and time constraints given them.

With that said, I have to return to my first point. You guys have to understand that this is a business, like any other. Entertainment is not just about pleasing people, but about having the vision to see what pleases people and capitalize on it. Hence all of the movie sequels that come out, all of the spin offs of TV shows, all of the game expansion packs.

The simple fact, at the bottom line, is that so many people are still playing this game, online, and some are spending money to do so. (Renting Servers). That alone says a lot about a game that so many people claim to never play, or says is shit.
