I can say right now, that it took me a few times (maybe more) to reach the shingles @ Omaha on the Hard level....

I made sure I always ran towards the baracades (the big X's)... wait for a break in the sniper shooting and RUN to the next baracade... IT WILL BE TOUGH!!!... but you can do it... I'm proof that it can be done... hehe...

If you can locate a medic out in the beach, they will heal you up as well!!... very nice to find them...

Another thing, don't worry about your gun on the way up the beach... it's not like you will be able to hit anything while dodging bullets around your head - it makes you run faster too... just hit Q, to holster, and RUN!.... it worked for me, and now I have passed on the info to you...
