the basic feedback I got on the game was it was 90% tanks running around, no infantry.

The idea is great but far too many people post about what a waste of money it was.

I quite playing WWIIOL back in October because I was sick of the slow progress and the amount of bugs.

This free trial sounds intresting and I will probaly give the game another chance.

Yeah I play wwiionline still. It's constantly changing. Like right now it has a no-link no-capture rule. So Bedford rushes have gone away. Also supply has an impact on the game right now somewhat as far as spawning goes. Towns completely surrounded by enemy towns can only spawn infantry and AT guns (no 88).

If you are thinking about Paying for the game, you might want to try it in 6 months. The game is fun for about a week.

The current issues that bug me are:

* Although satchel charges have improved, and spawn limitation has been implemented, people still don't spawn infantry.

* Bombs are incredibly weak. Myself and a friend of mine were defending Hasselt as flak 30 AA one day and a Blenheim (allied bomber) dropped a bomb no less than 5 feet away from both of us (smack dab in the middle) and neither of us were hurt. CRS promises better bomb code but no luck so far.

Honestly it's a great game. TONS of things have changed and been implemented, but it still lacks the "get go" that war has. I'm fairly sure that it will be everything I ever imagined within 6 months or so.

WWIIOnline now you can play free again , apart of the re-eval system, I think its free for a couple weeks to see how far on the game they have come.
I was playing last night for atleast 6 hours staright lol, I never died but I was outa ammo on everything. Gorrdonk was the town's name or something like that, there was a bridge and Panzers and inf were trying to cross over but we stoped em , but finally they capped it because we had to pack up and leav due to we had very little airsupport and non naval and they had 2 boats bombarding the town wich was a killer lol.

you can get use to the controls in offline mode, Im still waiting for the free 7 day trial to kick in.
BE WARNED! the graphics are ugly as ugly gets, but from what I hear the graphics suck but its necescary to have ugly graphics in such a huge ass game.
There are so many things to choose from infantry to tanks to airplanes to ships. I spend about an hour a day setting up the controls for each. The flight model is tight and sweet. Getting use to the tanks and finding a perfect way to map the controls is a bitch.
I dont know whats taking them so long to let loose with the 7 day free trial, hell the 7 day free trial in Anarchy Online sucked me in even though its basically a shitty game.
