9MM with hollow points will tear a hole in your chest too.
You can easily kill someone with .22 hollow points as well.[/quote:b647e]
while what you say is true I would never carry anything smaller than a .40 cal If you are stuck with a 9mm Id suggest using CorBon ammo It packs a better punch

For self defense purposes the 9mm is fine, one shot no matter where it hits will put them on the ground screaming, because the average person doesnt want to kill their assailant they just want to injure them. For combat situations though, I'd only go into battle with a trusty 1911 45, 1 shot there down and incapacitated or dead biggrin:
I would disagree with two points, first, if you shoot them they better not be able to tell thier side of the story. I think most would go for a kill shot. 2nd a 9mm may not incapasitate someone, it may piss them off. I was shot in the belly once during a robbery and all it did was make me VERY upset. If I had my carry permit at that time he would have been on a slab. It all matters on the placement of the shot so practice, practice practice!!!
... funny. i just shot my Xbox with a .50 cal Barret sniper rifle... didnt exactly work 4 me :\
I had the pleasure of firing one of those this past summer, what a rush!!! We were nailing stuff at 100 yards as well as 400 yards. A truly awesome gun.
i've honestly never touched a gun in my life. the most deadly thing i ever touched was my firend's dad's mehcette.. i had the privilege of slicing a watermelon with it
