I don't think we'll ever convince each other which sport is more fun to watch (or play for that matter), so maybe we should drop the subject while "we've both got teeth left" biggrin:

Toronto Maple Leafs have too much money. If the team was not owned 51% by teachers We could buy out any team easilly. We make the biggest profit in the league (I think minnisota had more last year though).

We sell out everything and never spend it.

And Calgary is doing very well right now...not Toronto well...but WAY better than edmonton...13-8-whatever is a good record.

[quote:82acb]The Stanley Cup

It all started on March 18, 1892, at a dinner of the Ottawa Amateur Athletic Association. Lord Kilcoursie, a player on the Ottawa Rebels hockey club from Government House, delivered the following message on behalf of Lord Stanley, the Earl of Preston and Governor General of Canada:

"I have for some time been thinking that it would be a good thing if there were a challenge cup which should be held from year to year by the champion hockey team in the Dominion (of Canada).
"There does not appear to be any such outward sign of a championship at present, and considering the general interest which matches now elicit, and the importance of having the game played fairly and under rules generally recognized, I am willing to give a cup which shall be held from year to year by the winning team."

The Stanley Cup was originally known as the Dominion Hockey Challenge Cup
Shortly thereafter, Lord Stanley purchased a silver cup measuring 7 ½ inches high by 11 ½ inches across for the sum of 10 guineas (approximately $50)
[/quote:82acb]
Now I don't think that's very gay, but we know your just mad thet people like hckey better than baseball.

And Pyro, lets have a truce. Toronto s a good team. They are doing very well and have won 8 stright.

Calgary has had points in 10 stright games and have gone 7-0-1-2 in that period with 4 stright wins currently. Their doing great. All we hope for in Calgary is that the team makes the playoffs since we haven't been there for 7 years. Making the playoffs is really important beacuse it would give us a lot more money playing at least two extra games and all the stuff we'd sell in the hype.

I'm not going to make fun on Toronto because thats getting old and they are a good team.

half hour intermissions is my get more beer break.

I like Baseball as well.

Hockey is so fast and uses a lot of energy, so giving them a short 30 minute break make sit so they can go out and do the same thing for us next period.

Blues Jays 2004 World Series Champions...
