there used to be a sub game for...nintendo or sega or something like that....and if you went in to russian mode, the missle shooter guy said something like "the water in the ballast is a sawabble" or something and thought it was funny...but yea...that sounds cool i guess

Sub sims rock... in theory. There aren't a lot of good ones that I'm aware of. SHII was decent. Destroyer Command was alright too if you'd rather be on the water. Neither one is stellar, but they're the best ones at the moment imo.

id really liek ot see a kick ass fast paced sub game. I dont raelly like SH2 b/c you have to go across the firggin ocean to get anywhere. Id like one whee it rops you in the action or you can just sruise around and find fishing boats or stuf ot take out

Default Older Game - 12-08-2003, 09:06 AM

I enjoy the new COD by Activision but what I would really like to see, and not a sub simulator since Microprose took theres out, is a return of a great on-line flying game like "AIR WARRIOR 3D" by Kesmai.

Join Squadrons, fly fighters or bombers, take along gunners on your B17 or A26. Join campaigns that were real time flying for 2 to 4 hours on a mission from England to Germany or reverse. Talk directly to crew members or Squardon members.

Choice in scheduled missions as fighter support or bomber command. It was a fantastic on-line experience and extremely detailed. Paid 9.99 a month to play it and then it disappeared. What a loss.

They need a WWII tank sim. The last good one i remember was when i was a kid. The same people who made SH made this game. It was really good for its time, you could american, english, german, and i think french tanks.

sub sims aren't as boring as you think,
I played 688i and its pretty fun.

(I was furious to find out that some meathead ran the USS Hartford aground off Italy IRL, that was my boat in the game mad: )

Agreed. a good new Flightsim would be excellent.
[thinkingoutloud] A network one, where one person flies the plane, one is the bomber, another the gunner, etc would be damned nice [/thinkingoutloud]

That is exactly what AIR WARRIOR 3D was:

Once signed on you could advertise for a crew and take off in a B17/B25/A26 Bomber and have crew members. You could talk with those people no matter where they were in the world as long as they were on your plane.

lol, as boring as a flight sim. if you only knew how outstanding IL2 and IL2 forgotten battles is you wouldnt say that. reason why they arent popular is because the learning curve for fps noobs is too high. i love watching these kiddies try to take off, then crash dozens of times in a row. then they say "this game is gay and it sucks" as the leave biggrin:
