multiplayer newbie with questions.....

I've never played any multiplayer games on the internet. I want to, but I don't know the first thing about getting started. I just got this game and I friggin love the single player mode, but I want to get started on playing multiplayer. What do I have to do to get started? Any help would be appreciated. Please keep in mind that I really, really don't know anything about playing on the internet. Ignorance is the key word here....really. Thanks in advance for any help offered...

Download or install from the game CD gamespy arcade. Then you just click on the picture of mohaa and you join the mohaa game lobby. It will list servers. You can just read and experiment with GSA and you will figure out what stuff does. Pick servers which have the lowest number in the Ping column.

It's better if you ask specific questions.

OR......

just go look for the 1.1 patch, and you don't even have to get gamespy (they're facists anyway). just install 1.1, go into the multiplayer part of the game, click on join game, and click the bar at the very top, and bam, there's a list of servers. just double click one to get started.

Thanks for the help.....I think I'll check out the 1.1 patch. Sorry about being so general and all, lacking any really specific questions...its just that I really don't know where to start. Thanks again for the help!
