Disconnects

When I try to connect to a server through gamespy, I keep getting disconnected. It launches the game fine, connecting to server, then Connection timed out. On Gamespy, the server I try to connect to has a 53 ping. What the hell is going on?

your PC has a virus man, quick, toss it out the window. Sorry.

nah, what version of the game are you running? You might be trying to connect to a server with a different version. But now that I think of it, it usually tells you that on the screen. I dont know man. Is it every server?

Are you on cable modem? It could show that you have great ping but packet loss get so high that server drops you off. First of all, I would check the connection and ping the server to see if much packet loss there.

I haven't installed the new patch v1.1 Waiting until I beat the game, almost there. THought maybe I could get into a server without the upgrade.

If u r running the demo (like me) you will get thrown by the server if they are doing anything the demo doesn't support - such as a different map!
