this is interesting. I find that after I watch a documentary on WW2 about the SS, I feel the urge to play MOHAA and shoot as many Nazis as I can. I think that the people who use SS symbols etc are interested only in the sense of pride that they get using SS names. It's understandable to get some feeling of satisfaction from using SS names, since, the SS after all, were a highly respected unit of Nazi Germany. It's like how people use nicknames based on US military units like 101st airborne, or the Rangers.

A lot of people do not inform themselves enough about what went on with the SS. Sure they may know that the SS ran the death camps, but since they can't identify with it, they just don't care. TheOnly-a.k.a.-Jon is a well informed person on the horrors of the SS. however, would we go around naming our clans based on the 9/11 attack? For example, let's start a clan called the [9/11 WTC killers]. I don't think many people would like that, but if it doesn't bother you, it probably will one day. If not now, then fine.
