DDR RAM Sweet.

Uninstall Win ME right away and install win98se with the latest service pack..

I was thinking of getting DDR too but hell, 512megs of pc133 is gonna be good enough.. especially with a GTS with 32ddr anyway

Win ME is an unstable pile of dog crap, I know, because I have it, and it's nothing but trouble. Get Windows 2000 if you want rock hard stability on your system. What kind of Motherboard did you get ??

blade....Windows 2000 runs ALMOST every game that you throw at it. Only games it doesnt run really well are DOS games. But who really plays them nowadays ?? Win ME is very unstable, the worst my dads computer has ever been is when we got Win ME on it. We get about 5 to 6 lockups a day, and at worst about 3 blue screens of death. It's not worth your money, it's a pile of shit mate, its that simple. Get Windows 2000, if you cant run some games, atleast you'll have the good knowledge that your system wont be crashing every damn hour or so. If not Windows 2000, get Win 98 SE which is essentially Windows 98 B. Get the free service packs which are downloadable or on computer magazine coverdisks and thats another fine OS. Trust me on this, Win ME is NOT worth it. I've talked to many tech people aswell and they swear by Windows 2000. Really its down to personal preference....to each their own...

BTW wookie, what do you mean by troubles?

What happens? Can you tell me why its 'nothing' but trouble..

Ive talken to countless computer techs and gamers and they recommend it..

BTW, I cant buy WIN 98 SE cause then I would have to buy WIN 98 first then buy the update.. it would cost tons of money

Snigger.. who said buy it ? Get a lend of a win98 disc of a friend or something. I like a sucker bought the win me upgrade disc and had nothing but trouble with win me. Would crash like mad for no reason and there wa a few occasions when i booted my computer up nothing would load at all no start menu no icons, nothing at all.

I had to for mat a coule of times because of that, not even the "system restore" could fix it

so what the hell is I supposed to buy?

I hear people say WIN ME is good.. other say its horrible..

what the hell?

Ive also heard that WIN 98 can only read 256 megs of your RAM.

So Im defintly not getting that..

Hell, I might as well go for WIN 2000, but .. is there any troubles? or problems with games?

Well, A lot of my friends have smoking computers that have WIN ME installed and they say they have no problem...

WIN ME is a lot better.. the only thing that is wrong is you cant play games that are more then 3 years old... or something like that.
