Hi there...my system sepcs are :
P3 500mhz
512mb SDRAM
Leadtek GeForce 2 Ti 200 32mb (det 23.11)
Desktop 1024x768 16bit color 85mhz refresh

In game everything on medium except curve detail which is on low. Color is set at 16bit and texture color depth at 32bit. Texture filter is at bilinear and texture compression is enabled. Shadows are set at none and view is full. Game resolution is at 1024x768
I notice that in Mission 1 "Grounding the Airfield" at the beginning when yu are in the jeep and driving along the road the FPS is around 20-30. When a firefight breaks out it drops to around 13-18 fps. When yu are on the airfield it is up around 30-35 but drops down to around 20-25 when shooting up the planes.
When in the bunker it starts at around 45fps but drops down to around 23fps when the shooting starts.
My question is, with the system that I have is this the best I am ever going to get ??
Is there anything else I can do to improve performance? V-sync is not enabled in game.
Also I have degfrag the hard drive and ntg is running in the background.
Any advice is appreciated.
Am I being unrealistic in expecting more with what I have or to quote Jack Nicholson is this "as good as it gets ?"
cheers
Bagman

Lower your game resolution to 800x600. Its not a big difference in the visuals, and it will do wonders to the performance.

I use 800x600 with just about the exact same graphic options as you on my PIII 866, GeForce 2 GTS 32mb, with 128mb ram and I get 50-60 average and about 30 in firefights.
