Does anyone else think that the mohaa MP40 sound is dull and wimpy? I mean, if someone can mod that to sound like the MP40 in RTCW, that'd be awesome!!!

While you are entiled to your opinion, and I am sure some kind soul with inform you on how to switch the sounds. I must express my opinion on this matter as well.

MOHAA's MP-40 has a mutch more meaty sound to it than RTCW's low thump-thump-thump MP-40 sound.

matter of taste I guess.

Anyway do MOHAA and RTCW use the same format for their sounds? If they do you could just switch them I think.

LOL SPR didn't have an MP-40 scene.

The gun with the "burp" sound is the....well I can't remember the name, but I know it's a German machine gun. Might have been an MG-44 but don't quote me on that.
Anyway the burp gun was an air-cooled German machine gun that fired at a enourmously fast rate of fire.

A good movie that HAS the sound of the MP-40 is "Stalingrad". It's a German-made movie about the battle of Stalingrad (duh).

As just posted...

The mp40 is used in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade right at the bit where Jones rescues his dad.

Now, I'm no expert, I don't know if they used an authentic gun/sfx but it sounds precisely like the mp40 in MoH.

I actually half expected to see 'Nazi_Extra_3 has been perforated by Indiana Jones in the upper torso' pop up at the top of my TV screen in pink.

Besides, sub-machine guns aren't really supposed to sound meaty 'cos they aren't meaty guns.

That accolade is reserved for the machine guns, and they both sound meaty enough for me.

Another good Mp 40 sound in Enemy at the Gates, is when the germans are driving past and shooting at the dead bodies, just in case.
