Default Adding moving objects to a map - 01-10-2004, 03:36 PM

Hi there,

I´ve got into map scripting, and it´s going well, but still there are details that escape comprension. How can i add moving objects, such as tanks, dogs, etc... to a map, i have seen it on some servers, and it would come in handy.

Thanks a lot.

Goto Nemesis' page and look at the plane and explosions tutorials. The link is in the MAPPERS GUIDE sticky. You'll notice a thing called a splinepath.

Sorry, maybe i didn´t explain myself correctly.

I do not want to make a map and put moving objects on it.

what i would like to know is if it possible to do this via map scripting, as i have seen original maps, with tanks and dogs moving around them.

Well cool but you answered your own question. Yes its possible but the way to find out is to open a script of say the tank and plane mod and look at the modified scrs. You'll see they spawn models into the map then control them using xyz coordinates to set up the movement. I dont do it mostly because I make my own maps so I dont mod others but thats how anyway.
