I must admit, at first I wanted to see blood, lots of it. On my face, hands...all over the walls, on my clothes, in my cereal (yes I'm in counseling). But then I tried a few of the blood mods, and well, I thought they were over the top at best.

Then I got that white 'SPR' Puff mod. I love it. It shows the hits and it looks good, and according to actual Vets that was how hits looked, aside from head shots or the rary pinky shot. It wasn't with blood spraying all over the countryside and beyond. Granted, with bigger caliber weapons, a bazooka, maybe you would see more blood, a little anyhow. But with a .45 or carbine, a hit to the body with all that clothing on would not show blood spewing out like a fountain.

Again, I've tried the others. I like the idea of pooling blood, maybe that can be added. And yes, I've seen blood splashes with a head shot with the puff mod(I think anyhow, it goes so quickly).

So...who agrees. And if this was already addressed excuse my ignorance and laziness. But I've seen a lot of posts yell to high hell about the lack of blood. It is now the turn of the bloodless creatons...we want more....ahhh...less blood.

That's my two cents...

I wanted blood as well, and I thought that most of the early mods were way over the top. Then they started getting better and better. I was using my own body puff for a while then I downloaded a few blood mods and started combining and removing things untill I found a really happy medium.

I'm with you, in that I would love to see pools of blood slowly seep out of bodies. But I guess we'll have to wait until the SDK comes out.

Ladmo: Where'd you get yours? Maybe I'll take some of what you offer and add it to the SPR and see what happens.

The one I use is one that I kind of pieced together from other mods and some stuff I made. Post your email and I'll send you one.

BLUT UND EIGEN!!!

German for "Blood and Iron"
You can't have too much blood, but entry wounds would be good- Like in Urban Terror Mod for Quake 3.
ENTRY WOUNDS ARE POSSIBLE...

If you could figure out how to get entry wounds into this game you would be the hero of the Allied Assalut community.

Ladmo, I want to try your mod:

brittonc@earthlink.net

I think the best blood effects are those that are realistic and not too over the top. So far I think the combination of the white puff and a little bit of blood (someone posted how to combine them elsewhere) makes for the best overall effect; however you do not get blood splats on the surrounding walls with that, which would be even nicer.

One thing I think would be REALLY cool, is if you could somehow VARY the effects or amount of blood, so that when you shoot one enemy maybe you only see a little, or even none, but then the next you see more.
That to me would be more realistic than the idea of having NONE of the enemies bleed at all, even after you shoot them five or six times...

I agree. But I don't think that can be done right now anyway. Not without the SDK. When that comes out though, I think we'll see some better blood mods.

just tried out elite1's blood patch v 4.0 and I'm very impressed with it. Plentiful dark blood but not over the top. Nice job dude.

Ladmo: Capt_Canuck01@hotmail.com

I'll try Elites 4.0, and maybe I'll try to combine some stuff.
