How do I open C:\System Volume Information -

I keep getting a popup saying theres a virus in there and it wont let me open the folder up so i can delete whats inside, i have it set so i can view hidden files and ive found the folder...i just cant open it...any suggestions?

why open the folder - just delete it.
If it deletes... format - easy.

Dont reformat. It can only be deleted properly in safe mode. Press F8 before the WinXP screen comes up.

dont format. turn off system restore then reboot. scan for virus and virus be gone.
system restore stores files in System Volume Information folder.

In control panel click on the system icon. when the system properties window opens you will see system restore tab. in the system restore tab tick where it says turn off system restore on all drives.
