how do you rip parts of a movie to make it into a gif

its kinda a bitch

i used like quicktime and went frame to frame and just copied and pasted every frame into a frame for the gif

i did that jim carrey one "ride the snake" but i cant find it anymore...sry

Imageready can import .avi's, but I'm not exactly sure of the process.

ya not only does it take a long time to do but you have to watch the size of the file b/c it can xceed 500kb if you have to many frames, so your places to host such a big file reduces pretty fast

I've tried opening all sorts of movies in image ready, just through plain open..

it never works. Sigh.

That'd pwn if you could oepn most movies with image ready, are you 100% sure it can import avi's?

Do it like this...works for avi's

Put the avi in a folder on your desktop...

then...

[img]http://reichnation.com/uploads/avi1_copy1.jpg[/img]

then find your foldere like so...

[img]http://reichnation.com/uploads/avi2.jpg[/img]

then to load the avi click ok like so

[img]http://reichnation.com/uploads/avi3.jpg[/img]

alright, it does the same thing it did with every other file..

It imports 1 frame..all white.
