I just wanted to know how many people out there have the mod for Half-Life called Day of Defeat(DoD for short). It is a very good game based on the WW2. There is 2 different teams (axis and allies), with many different play modes(Capture points, attack and defend, etc.). All weapons and vehicals are exactly how they were during WW2. If you have Half-Life and dont have this mod than go to planet half-life and download it or go to fileplant. I'm sure everyone in this forum would enjoy. Post about this topic dont sway from the subject; it would help a lot.

Ya i have DoD i've had since it's first beta version but still not as good as Counter-Strike. CS blows it out of the water. Maybe when it complete it might be better then CS.

Yea i know what you mean. When i first got DoD i thought it was awesome, and it is still in the Beta versions! But Counter-Strike still holds top spot for me. I have been playing it for 2 years now and i still cant get enough.

Ok guys listen. DoD is still very early in development. It took 2 years of playing Counter-Strike and fixing things to get it were it is at now. Even now there are tons of cheaters that just make the game not fun. In about a year or so DoD will be an excellent game, but not now. There is a ton of clipping, crashing, and collision detection problems that need to fixed. But by that time that all happens MoH:AA would have been out for 6 months or so...

I have DoD on my computer. I like it more than CS, because I like that it's about WW2. DoD is much younger than CS, so I hope it gets even better...

Yes, DoD is very fun but it needs a graphics face lift. It looks has some pretty bad textures and it just doesn't look as good as CS or MoH AA. I hope it gets better over the next couple of months. And i'm into WW2 games a whole lot so don't think that i don't. The thing makes counter-strike better is becuase of it's spawning system where if you die you have to sit out for the rest of the round. This most of the times forces the players to work more as a team and coperate with each other. If DoD doesn't use this system then it will never be as good as CS. In CS, if your team keeps losing they will devise a plan by chatting and using the vioce commands. TFC is absolutely horrible becuase there is absolutely no teamplay implemented into it at all. CS still OWNZ YALL!!!!!!
