I've got a SG like that and it's pretty sweat, but I like my DC Les Paul better.

Dave I collected guitars after my divorce. And I don't play the guitar, I play with the guitar. I also have several Epiphones, a Baby Taylor, a couple old archtops, A working Silvertone Amp in Case, and a couple nonames.

Personally, I'd take the Strat just because I find the SGs a bit too small and light for me. I find I can lean on a Strat and it just feels more solid.

Having said that, I like the SGs neck a bit better than the Strat. I find the Strat neck a bit too round and chunky. Maybe that's because I've played Ibanez guitars most of my life.

Gibson hands down.

I have always preferred the big fat sound of an LP over tinny sounding strats. My first gibson(owned a few epiphones, knock-offs and fenders prior to this) was a 73 SG Standard, it was a helluva a guitar. Even though the headstock had been broken off and repaired at least 3 times, it still sounded and played great. I currently own a Les Paul Classic & an Explorer. I also have a 52 RI Tele, but thats a different story... rock:

I hear ya, mang.

I gotta get a 9-volt for my distortion pedal and lay down some neighbour-rattling riffs soon. Maybe today! You've inspired me. rock:
