Yeah, with rockets I will shoot a little behind the enemy to avoid suicide. And rockets are horrible at long range. Just try it from the Higgins boat to the pill box at Omaha Beach. Even if the rocket hits where you were aiming, the target has plenty of time to move. Rockets are strictly medium range.

With shotty, you need to move in close, which requires skills at hiding, locating the enemy, avoiding being shot, etc. But actually hitting them doesn't take much skill at aiming.

However, some people think sniper is so cool and requires so much skill because of movies like Enemy at the Gates. I don't think we will see a movie like 'Enemy at the Gates 2: Shotty Whores'. Well, sniper does take much skill in REAL LIFE, but not so much in MoH. There is no real hiding, camoflage, wind effects, gravity, etc. It does take some skill to aim, especially without scope. Up close, it will lose to any other weapon, including pistol.

It is wrong to say one or the other is superior or easier. For example: on Omaha Beach, will you do better with a sniper, or shotty? What about in the French Village? Sniper dominates shotty on Omaha, shotty dominates sniper in French Village. So it depends on the map.

It's just people with attitudes that think they are so great that put down any of the weapons. Each has its place and requires its own set of skills.

Ask yourself this: If you're such a good sniper, then how did the shotgunner get up so close to you and kill you?
